Namefade

Out of sight, on your terms.

Namefade hides the names and usernames you choose wherever they show up on your Android phone: feeds, chats, search results and notification previews. You keep your apps. The name just stops reaching you.

How it works

Add a name, a nickname or a handle. When it appears on screen, a calm shield covers that screen before you read it, with one tap to go back or go home. Turn on the notification shield and matching message previews are removed before they land.

Private by design

Everything happens on your phone. No account, no servers, no analytics, no ads, nothing uploaded. Read the privacy policy.

Free and Plus

Free gives you three names, both shields and the cool-down, forever. Namefade Plus is a single payment through Google Play for unlimited names, allowed apps and your own line on the shield.

Namefade is in closed testing on Google Play. The listing link will appear here when it is live.
